Guidelines for Community Police and Digital Trust

On November 29th, 2022, the Secure Communities Forum and Belgian Local Police co-hosted a workshop and webinar in Brussels, aiming to empower law enforcement in building community trust through digital platforms. The event explored trends in digital police public relations and provided practical tools for engaging communities online. Program segments included a publicly accessible Zoom webinar on law enforcement and digital communications and a closed workshop developing guidelines for maximizing digital tools in community trust-building, accessible for implementation by relevant organizations.

WEBINAR: Community Policing: Youth Engagement and Safety

On March 27th, 2024, the Secure Communities Foundation (SCF), alongside the Guarda Nacional Republicana and Singapore University of Social Sciences, hosted a pivotal webinar addressing children and youth's safety in the digital age. With 42% of the global population under 24, the discussion tackled unique challenges, particularly concerning online safety and law enforcement interactions. Distinguished speakers from law enforcement, academia, and NGOs shared insights and innovative solutions, fostering engaging discussions and best practices to ensure youth welfare and societal safety. The webinar attracted over 100 attendees from 21 countries, showcasing global commitment to addressing these critical issues and paving the way for collaborative efforts in shaping future public safety.
